Sim Trans provides certified Farsi translation services across Dubai, Abu Dhabi and the wider UAE, signed by a UAE Ministry of Justice-sworn Persian translator. We translate Farsi to English and Farsi to Arabic for Iranian families renewing residency, students applying for degree equivalency, and law firms and trading companies handling Iranian documents. Shenasnameh pages, marriage certificates, court files and commercial contracts come back ready for the GDRFA, ICP, Dubai Courts or MOFA counter on the first visit.
Iranian documents follow rules most translators in the UAE rarely see. Dates run on the Solar Hijri (Shamsi) calendar. A name is written one way on the Shenasnameh, another way on the passport, and a third way on a school certificate from twenty years ago. Many civil records are still partly handwritten. Every one of those details has to survive the move into Arabic or English, because the officer reviewing your file compares the translation against the passport and the visa record line by line. Speaking Persian is the easy part. Getting the file accepted is the real job.
Dubai Courts, the Abu Dhabi Judicial Department, Notary Public offices and the MOFA attestation desk accept a Farsi translation only when it carries the stamp of a translator sworn by the UAE Ministry of Justice. A translation prepared abroad, or by a freelancer without that credential, is sent back however accurate it is. For a family filing a marriage certificate to sponsor a spouse, the cost isn’t the second translation fee. It is the lost appointment and a visa deadline that keeps running.
An Iranian birth certificate dated 1365 in the Solar Hijri calendar has to become the correct Gregorian date, and a one-year slip in the conversion is enough for the GDRFA or ICP to question the whole file. Names cause the same trouble. Mohammad, Mohammed and Mohamad can all appear for one person when different translators handle different documents. When the translated marriage certificate doesn’t match the passport, the application stops. Accurate Farsi language translation in English means checking every date and every name against the passport, not only translating the words.
Older Shenasnameh pages, local registry entries, notarial stamps and handwritten court notes turn up in almost every Iranian family file. Many translators skip what they can’t read and write “illegible” in its place. The officer at Dubai Courts or a free zone registry then asks why half a page is missing, and the file goes back to the start. Reading Persian handwriting, faded seals and margin notes is a skill of its own, and a generalist Farsi translator often doesn’t have it.
Divorce decrees, custody papers, medical reports, bank statements and shareholder agreements reach us from Iranian families and companies who want them seen by as few people as possible. Low-cost platforms pass these files through chains of unnamed freelancers, often with no NDA on record. For a law firm acting for an Iranian client, or a Deira trading house sharing supplier contracts, that exposure is reason enough to look elsewhere.

Quote inside an hour. MoJ-sworn Persian translator. 24-hour delivery across Dubai and Abu Dhabi.
Every certified Farsi file we deliver is signed and stamped by a Persian translator sworn by the UAE Ministry of Justice, with the licence number on the translation. That is the format the GDRFA, ICP, Dubai Courts, the Abu Dhabi Judicial Department, Notary Public offices, MOFA and free zone registries such as JAFZA and DMCC expect to see. Families come to us to translate Farsi to Arabic for court and residency files, and to translate to English Farsi-language certificates for embassies and overseas universities. Law firms send bundles that ask us to translate Arabic, Farsi and English versions of the same agreement and check them against each other. For litigation work, see our certified legal translation page.
Every Shamsi date is converted to the Gregorian calendar and checked a second time before the file leaves us. Names are spelled to match the passport, and that spelling is kept across the whole family set: Shenasnameh, marriage certificate, children’s birth certificates and school records. Handwritten entries and stamps are read by native Iranian linguists and translated in full. The same checks apply in every direction, from Farsi translation into English for a visa file to the translation of English to Farsi for a contract an Iranian partner will sign. We also work from Farsi to Urdu: translate requests for this pair usually come from Iranian and Pakistani business partners in Deira and Jebel Ali, and Urdu translation in Farsi goes through the same review.
Most of what we receive is paperwork to translate, in Farsi, to English or Arabic, against a residency or court deadline. Standard certified Farsi documents under 1,000 words go out within 24 hours across Dubai and Abu Dhabi. Urgent residency, court and embassy files are handled the same day where the length allows. Quotes come back inside an hour during working hours. For longer case bundles, audited accounts or a complete family file, your coordinator gives you a written delivery date before work starts.

Our certified Farsi translations are signed by a Persian translator registered with the UAE Ministry of Justice. The credential is accepted by Dubai Courts, the Abu Dhabi Judicial Department, federal courts, Notary Public offices, Public Prosecution, MOFA, DIFC and ADGM, and by foreign embassies and consulates in the UAE. Sim Trans has worked with UAE authorities since 2006 and holds ISO 17100 certification for translation services. For an Iranian family renewing residency, that means the file is accepted on the first visit. For a law firm, it means a translation that won't be returned on a credential point.
Our Farsi team is made up of native Iranian linguists working as dedicated team members, not anonymous freelancers. They read handwriting, older registry formats and seals, convert Shamsi dates correctly, and keep one spelling of each name across a family's documents. Farsi and English translation, Arabic into Farsi work and Farsi language translation in Urdu all pass through the same team and the same review. We also take on Dari and Tajik documents through linguists who work in those varieties.
A working-hours quote inside one hour. Standard certified Farsi documents back within 24 hours across Dubai and Abu Dhabi. Same-day handling for urgent court, residency and embassy submissions where the file length allows. Bilingual contracts are a common case: we translate to English, to Farsi, or both in a side-by-side layout, at a fixed price with no charges added afterwards. For larger jobs, you get a written delivery date before you commit.

For documents going to a UAE authority, the right choice is a Persian translator sworn by the UAE Ministry of Justice, not an app. The GDRFA, ICP, Dubai Courts and MOFA check the translator’s stamp and licence number. For marketing or website content, a native Iranian linguist who knows the audience gives the most natural result.
Farsi translation in the UAE is usually priced per page or per word, depending on the document type, length, direction and whether certification is needed. A single marriage certificate costs far less than a full court bundle. Sim Trans gives a fixed quote after reviewing your file, usually within an hour, with no charges added afterwards.
Typing “translate Eng to Farsi” or “Arabic to Farsi translate” into a free tool is fine for reading a message or a menu. It isn’t accepted for official use. UAE Courts, the GDRFA, ICP and MOFA require a certified human translation carrying a sworn translator’s stamp. Free tools also misread handwriting and Shamsi dates.

Yes. Farsi translation into Urdu, and Urdu into Farsi, is available for business letters, contracts and personal documents. Most requests come from Iranian and Pakistani partners trading through Deira and Jebel Ali. Each file is matched to a linguist who works in both languages and is reviewed by a second linguist before delivery.
